Students at Exeter High School voice their secret thoughts and wishes by
attaching speech bubbles to the painting “Voiced” by Paige Driscoll which is
displayed on the bulletin board in the EHS Library Media Center.
On Saturday, May 30th, 210 music students from the Cooperative Middle School
traveled to the Music in the Parks Festival in Agawam, MA to be adjudicated
and to compete against other schools from New England, New York and New
Jersey. After performing for the judges, the music students spent a
beautiful day at Six Flags Amusement Park and received their ratings at an
awards ceremony at the end of the day.
The combined middle school band, conducted by Eric Kobb, received a first place finish in its category with a rating of "Excellent". It also received a trophy for "Best Overall Middle School Band" with the highest score of any middle school band competing that day. The choruses , conducted by Andrew Inzenga and Catherine Hammon and accompanied by Jennifer Ramsay, were divided into two groups and received first place finishes in their respective categories with scores of "Excellent" and "Superior". The chorus also received a trophy for "Best Overall Middle School Chorus" by scoring higher than any other middle school chorus in competition. The music department at the Cooperative Middle School is extremely proud of the band and choruses and extends its congratulations to all who participated in the festival.
