The SAU school districts are committed to working together to achieve common standards and values that will result in graduates who are caring, productive, and contributing members of society.
Teachers and staff are encouraged to use websites to augment their
classroom environment and communications. This section is designed to
help you understand more of what it takes to implement a website within
SAU 16.
HomeworkNow - a
subscription site that some SAU 16 schools have purchased that
allows text to be easily updated
Blue Wrench - a website that looks
like your school's website and is easy to change from any browser
with no special training required.
FirstClass / RWD websites - FirstClass comes with a home page
capability for all users. SAU 16 has purchased an enhancement to
this called RWD (Rapid Web Designer) that allows all staff to easily
create web pages based on a school template.
Moodle - course development tool
that has additional features such as security, calendar, discussion
groups, course e-mail, chat sessions, quizzes and testing tools.
Passwords are available for anyone to access online information.
Custom Websites - This
option requires more computer knowledge but allows you full
web page functionality. Anyone wishing to use a web editing tool and
FrontPage or FTP should contact the webmaster for an account setup.
If you are an SAU 16 teacher or staff member who is interested in
creating a website, please contact your tech. coordinator for more information or
assistance.
