Science Seminars for 2006-07

The seminars are content - focused and laboratory-enriched. Attendees will not only learn science concepts but will also come away with practical ideas for helping their students demonstrate their understanding and application of science concepts.

Three strands are available: Earth/Space Science, Physical Science, and Biological Science. Seminars may be combined for a General Science Strand.

OPEN NH Online Courses

OPEN NH is New Hampshire's Online Professional Education Network. Part of the e-Learning for Educators Initiative, a nine state collaboration dedicated to providing quality professional development that increases both content knowledge and teaching skills, OPEN NH offers courses that are facilitated by New Hampshire teachers, and dedicated to serving the needs of NH schools.

OPEN NH Website - course offerings

OPEN NH is starting its first round of online courses in June 2006. There are 24 courses being offered in this first session. The courses run 6 weeks online, with an initial face to face orientation meeting. Orientation meetings are being held June 27-29 at each of the six prof. dev. centers throughout the state. The cost of each course is $100. Graduate credits are available through Plymouth State University at an additional cost. Registration forms and instructions are available on the OPEN NH website.
