ERCSD Curriculum Committee Meeting
Tuesday, May 13, 2008 – 7:30 PM

Guests: CMS/EHS teachers
1. NWEA Testing Schedule – Discussion on whether to test in the fall and in the spring or just the spring. The committee will take this to the full board for a decision.
2. Drafts of Demonstration of Competencies (pdf), Extended Learning Opportunities (pdf) and On Line Learning (pdf) - Cindy Freyberger discussed the Competency Policy and Extended Learning Opportunity Policy and the need to revise policy IKF Graduation requirements. After examination and discussion of the policies, Cindy will make the suggested changes and the policies will be presented to the board for first readings.
3. Revision of IKF – Graduation Requirements (pdf) – Addressed above.
4. NECAP Results – Cindy Freyberger and Tony Baldasaro - Tony and Cindy went over the AYP Status of the middle school and high school. The middle school is deficient with mathematics for the Educational Disable and the high school did not make AYP in math and reading with the Educational Disable students. The Good to Great Committee will make recommendations on how to move forward with these identified groups at the May 20, 2008 board meeting.
