Committee members present: Linda Henderson, Lionel Ingram, Ken Lanzillo, Walter Pierce, and consultant Josh Knox.
Chair Henderson commenced the meeting at 1:00. All reviewed the Public Forum report prepared by the consultant. A suggestion was made to separate “Affordable Housing” into a category by itself and to add the pre-school recommendations and the East Kingston recreation recommendations.
Next, Chair Henderson reviewed an agenda for the general meeting. The interim report to the Board is a key item for review and she itemized the following to be included for the Committee to approve:
-SST report
-Abutter report
-Public Forum report
-SAU16/Cooperative School reports
-Misc. groups, Boards report
-Appraisal Subcommittee report
-Timeline of the project
Discussion of the timeline ensued and the best way to accomplish the items presented.
Ken Lanzillo proposed three objectives to help in this effort and everyone agreed that they should be presented to the Committee. They are as follows:
1) What are the future needs of the SAU 16, SST, and the Cooperative School District?
2) What would generate the most income to offset the new high school?
3) What are the community considerations around the property?
Chair Henderson announced that she would put together a summary for the group to review prior to the meeting, that she would also prepare an appendix of documents to attach to the summary. It was decided that the consultant would prepare the timeline and send it out for review prior to the meeting.
Meeting adjourned: 2:15
