Thursday, June 29th between 12 and 1 PM the phone system will be shut down at
the SAU offices and the old high school. This is necessary to facilitate the
cutover to the new phone system. The system will only be down for about an
hour. This means incoming calls will not be able to go to voice mail at EHS
and the main office for that hour. Please accept our apologies for any
inconvenience this may cause.

June 19th-August 18th the SAU Offices at 24 Front Street will be open Monday
through Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm and Fridays 8:00am-1:30pm. Offices will be
closed July 3rd and 4th.
Due to the recent death impacting Exeter High School students, counseling
services for anyone interested will be available at Exeter High School in Room
T102, the guidance office, from noon on today, from 9-11 on Saturday and all
next week.
The high school graduation is planned for Eustis field behind EHS at 5:30.
Seniors must report to the atrium at 4:30. 2 tickets per senior for reserved
seating but plenty of additional seating available. Photos available for

As of 2:00 Friday, June 9, the EHS Senior Prom Grand March is still scheduled
for 6:15pm at the Atkinson Country Club. The final decision will be made at
the event and we may have to cancel in case of rain. We're hoping for the
best!
A 7th grader at CMS has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. Please join in
the effort to help Deanna by purchasing a fall mum. All proceeds will go
directly to the family to help offset costs not directly covered by insurance.

The SAU Joint Board voted to waive the two days that students missed due to
the flooding conditions of May 15th and 16th. School will end for all students
on June 16, 2006. Each individual board makes the decision concerning staff
days.
Alumni Recognition is Friday, May 26, 2006 at 4:30 on the softball field
behind the high school. Any alumni that played softball, managers, coaches and
all supporters of Exeter High School softball, please join us this day for our
final game on this high school field. Let's recognize these contributors.
The EHS Track Boosters are having 2 Yard Sales Saturday May 20 8AM. Money is
going toward track equipment needed for the new high school. Locations:
1. 24 Front St, corner of Court St, behind SAU offices 2. 9 Hampton Road, at McQueeney Chiropractic, almost across from Churchill's Nursery If weather prevents the sale Saturday, it will be Sunday the 21st for the Front St sale and Sat the 27 for the Hampton Rd sale.
Exeter High School has had to reschedule some events due to school closings:
- The National Honor Society Induction is now Monday May 22 at 7 pm in the Science Lecture Hall. - The Pops Concert is now Tuesday May 30 at 7pm in the Talbot Gym. - EHS 4th Quarter progress reports will be mailed Tuesday morning, May 23rd.

EHS Project Prom/Project Graduation 2006 is holding a fundraising event
Saturday May 20th at the Exeter Town Hall. This is an opportunity to discard
your unwanted computer equipment, TVs, VCR and DVD players and donate to a

June 16, 2006 is the last day of school for all SAU 16 schools. May 17, 2006
is an early release. EHS will have regular schedule day that day and Tuesday
May 16 and Thursday May 18 will be block days.

The May Finance Committee meeting has been cancelled.
The High School Guidance Department will be hosting an evening for parents of
Juniors on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the EHS Science Lecture
Hall. The evening will cover the college search process, the
application/admissions process, standardized testing, and more . . .

The SAU 16 Event Calendar (link in right column) is the place to check for
dates, times and locations of any SAU 16 school related events, including
board meetings and subcommittee meetings. Due to the numerous events and
meetings that occur in the SAU, we strongly advise everyone to check this
calendar prior to a scheduled event to ensure there has not been a change in
time or venue.

EXTV - Channel 22 will broadcast the Meet the Candidates night from CMS Feb.

CMS students will perform The Music Man at the CMS Meehan Auditorium this

All schools will follow standard early release procedures due to inclement
weather. High school students are welcome to leave their cars at the school
and take the bus home.
Wednesday, January 25th 7-8 PM at the Cooperative Middle School's Meehan
Performing Arts Center, Sammy Snail & Lesley Smith’s Theatre of Life Puppets
will present “Monsters Under the Bed”, A Puppet Musical. The performance
focuses on developing a healthy lifestyle, activities and eating habits.

The Coop. district was presented with a $499,300 Distance Learning
Telemedicine Grant on Friday January 6, 2006. The funds will be used to place
internet video conferencing equipment at two rural NH schools, nine rural VT
schools and three NH hub sites. Read

SAU 16 has issued an
Influenza
Epidemic/Pandemic Prevention and Response Plan (pdf). For more

The EHS Student Senate, along with several EHS clubs collected 3,000 pounds
(approximately 170 boxes) of items to be shipped down to North Little Rock,
Arkansas, to the many Hurricane Katrina Refugees. The students collected
clothes, toys, toiletries, backpacks and school supplies, then sorted and
boxed the items. Atlantic Movers, a Division of Walsh Transportation, based
out of Exeter, NH, picked up the items on December 8th, and shipped them free
of charge to North Little Rock. During the week of December 19th, the various
items we collected through community donations will be distributed to the many
organizations, students and families in the North Little Rock Community. Thank
you to all of the community members and organizations who donated items to
this cause. Thank you to Walsh Transportation Group for assisting us in
getting the many items to the families and the North Little Rock Community.
The COOP School Board is piloting a video streaming service of the school
board meetings. The December 5, 2005 meeting is the first and is now available

All college-bound students may pick up FAFSA (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) application forms starting Tuesday Dec. 20th in Guidance, room T105. The FAFSA on the

The Exeter High School Seniors will be collecting the following items during
the Exeter Christmas Parade, Saturday, December 3, 2005: new or slightly worn
clothes, backpacks, stuffed animals, school supplies, and toiletries
(toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc). Please bring your donations to
the parade with you and the students will be walking through to collect items
or you can drop your donations off at the EHS Main Office from 7:00am -
4:00pm. Please contact Mark Kinton at 775-8549 or Lisa Healey at 775-8407 with
any questions. They are no longer accepting donations.
The Curriculum and Philosophy Cooperative subcommittee has changed the
December Meeting from December 20 to December 15, @ 7:00 PM.
The Coop. Personnel, Policy and Communications Committee has changed the
December 21 meeting to begin at 6:00 PM rather than 7:00 PM.
The company that supplies the CMS and EHS student assignment books offers a

For the next month, every Wednesday and Saturday at 8am and 8pm, EX TV on
channel 22 will air a special program after the board meetings. Nathan Lunney,
SAU 16 Assistant Business Administrator, will present information on the
Exeter Region Cooperative School Budget. This first in a two part series will
address the budget process, components and timeline. In January, after the
public hearing on the budget, he will present on the specifics of the prepared
budget.
All Exeter HS, Robinson Seminary and Tuck HS graduates are asked to attend the
football game at Eustis Field on Saturday November 12, 2005.

We have been experiencing phone problems the last few days, especially at the
middle school. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. As of

This fall's children's theater production will be Pinocchio. This is an
adaptation by Brian Way and will be performed in the EHS Annex Cafeteria on
Sunday October 16 at 2:30pm. Admission is free.
Mr. Doucet and Ms. Stowell have organized a trip to Britain hosted by CHA
Tours for late June and early July of 2006. For more information, check

Every Wednesday and Saturday at 8am and 8pm, EX TV on channel 22 will air
Exeter School Board, COOP School Board, and other educational shows and
meetings. This week the two programs are: 1. Update on Exeter High School
Building Project Panelists Walter Pierce, Lucy Cushman and Patti Lovejoy; And
2. The Exeter High School Transition Committee - overview, highlights and
perspectives of committee members Vic Sokul, Anne Plumer-Fisher, Evan Mousseau
and Jennifer Kinsey.
The first meeting of the Jr. Prom committee will be held on Wednesday October

Exeter High School Principal Victor Sokul, who will be chairing the Exeter
High School Transition Committee, has deferred the tentatively scheduled first
meeting date of Wednesday, August 31st to the week of September 12th to allow
community members more time to consider volunteering for this committee. All
individuals who have indicated interest in being a part of the committee will
be notified of the selected committee members as well as the time and date of
the first meeting. Should you have any questions about the committee, please
contact Principal Sokul at 775-8402.
