An important meeting of the Parents’ Advisory Council for Teachers (PACT) at the Seacoast School of Technology in Exeter will be Wednesday, January 12th, at 6:30 p.m. in the SST Conference Room. PACT is a group of parents and SST staff that meet several times during the school year to discuss student-related issues of parents and teachers. The group also works closely with the SST staff to increase the opportunities available to students in such areas as career and technical education program visibility, scholarships, and program improvement.
The focus of the upcoming PACT meeting will be the presentation of information to SST parents highlighting postsecondary opportunities and a workshop on the college application and scholarship process. SST Principal Nancy Pierce will share a variety of scholarship options with parents and discuss ways to complete the college application process in a timely and efficient manner. “A number of SST parents of first and second-year students have asked for this workshop,” according to Pierce. “All SST parents looking for their son or daughter to attend postsecondary school will want to attend this meeting to receive the latest scholarship information and application tips.”
