All military veterans are invited to be our guests for
lunch at annual cooking honoring our veterans. It will be held Friday May 20,
2005 on the EHS football field, or inside if it rains, at 11:00 am.

Middle school and high school-aged youth from the Exeter
area are encouraged to participate in this event to help their community, meet

The CMS PTO and Guidance Office offer information on
drugs, alcohol and other high risk behaviors of students on Thursday, April
21st at 7pm at CMS. All SAU 16 parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Once again the CMS MathCounts team excels and brings home
First Place in the state competition and sends two students to the National
Competition in May. See Exeter News-Letter

At approximately 10:30 AM this morning, March 30, 2005,
EHS was evacuated due to a chemical spill. Three to four students were
transported to Exeter Hospital. Their condition at this time is unknown. All
students were evacuated to the EHS Annex. The Exeter Fire Department
determined that the school should not be re-entered and First Student was
called to begin transporting students home. According to Exeter Assistant
Fire Chief Ken Berkenbush, the chemical spill at Exeter High School was found
to be non-hazardous. After doing air monitoring, ph balance testing and
determining there were no indications of caustic or acidic issues, the
building was turned back over to the administration at about 12:30 PM. The
three students who were transported to Exeter Hospital were released and are
doing fine. All after school activities that were to be held on campus are
cancelled. The EHS lacrosse team will be leaving the EHS campus at 5:00 PM
this evening to travel to UNH.

The CMS PTO would like to invite you to a seminar on
Thursday March 17, 2005 at 7:00pm in the CMS Meehan Auditorium about bullying
and school violence. The presentation, featuring Detective Kevin Nolan,
will be followed by a question and answer session.
The Exeter Town Hall Gallery (second floor) will exhibit
student artwork selected by art teachers grades 1-12 every weekend from March
12 through April 10. Ten works from each grade will be on view, representing
"The best art from area students." The exhibit is organized by the Exeter Arts
Committee and school art teachers in response to National Youth Art Month. An
opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, March 12 from 1-4pm. Exhibit
hours are 1-4pm on weekends only and the event is free and open to the public.

The Ice Hockey semi-finals originally planned for Tuesday
March 8 have been rescheduled to Thursday March 10 at 6pm at St. Anselm's.
All staff should be aware that the NH DOE has increased
certification fees as of January 22, 2005.

will be doing several display cooking events over the next several weeks.
Valentines Extended (2/15), French Cuisine (2/17), A Taste of Italy (3/1), A
Trip to Spain (3/3), Favorites from the South (3/10), Greek (3/15),
Traditional Irish (3/17), Our America (3/24) and A Taste of the World (3/29).
The "A Taste of the World" event will include dishes prepared fresh right in
front of you by our display cooking chefs. This is an event not to be missed.

We are pleased to announce that Victor Sokul, currently
the high school principal at Keene High School, has accepted the position of
principal of Exeter High School effective July 1, 2005.
Parents and volunteers are needed to plan and help with
both the EHS Junior Prom
and the EHS Project Prom/Project
Graduation activities.
The Cooperative School Board will interview the finalist
candidates for the EHS Principal position on Monday February 7th at 6pm in the
Cooperative Middle School Cafeteria.

CMS Drama has their winter performances scheduled for
Thursday February 3rd, Friday February 4th, Wednesday February 9th, and Friday
February 11th. All Performances are at 6:30 pm in the Thomas Meehan Auditorium
at CMS.

students on Monday January 31, 2005 instead of the previous Friday. Any

EHS has scheduled a follow-up dialogue night for current
freshman parents on Thursday February 17 at 6:00-7:00pm in the EHS Science

EHS will sponsor a Parents' Night for parents of eighth
graders on Wednesday, March 2 from 7:00-9:00pm in the Talbot Gym. The

Exeter High School Drama and Exeter Drama Boosters present
Coffee House Theater - A series of One-Act Skits on Saturday, January
29th at 7:00PM in the Exeter High School Annex Gymnasium. Coffee and gourmet

SST students presented their dessert creations at the
Holiday Buffet at Julia's Restaurant at the Seacoast School of Technology in
Exeter. The Culinary Arts I & II students hosted over 50 people at this year's
annual celebration. Julia's will re-open for lunch on Thursdays in January.

positions of eight Career and Technical Student Organizations.

The Exeter Region Cooperative School District is in the
process of generating school improvement plans for both the Cooperative Middle
and Exeter High Schools. In order for these plans to be comprehensive and
all-inclusive, the members of the School Improvement Plan Steering Committee
are seeking parent input on specific questions and issues. A
parent survey is available and
a forum will be held November 16 from 4:00 to 5:00pm in the CMS Library for
discussing the survey questions. All parents with students in the middle
and/or high school are encouraged to attend.
The senior class of 2005 will hold a giant fundraiser
auction at the Talbot Gym on Sunday November 7. To see a list of auction

The first meeting of the Parents’ Advisory Council for
Teachers (PACT) at the Seacoast School of Technology will be Wednesday,

The EHS Drama Club will perform two plays, 'Stone Soup'
and 'The Prince Who Wouldn't Talk' on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at 2:00 pm in
the Annex Cafe. Admission is free.
The first meeting of the Jr. Prom Planning committee will
meet on Thursday October 14, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the Annex Cafe. All
junior students and parents are invited to attend.
A presentation of the construction update will be shown on
Channel 22 on October 8, 10, 13, 15, 17 at 12:30pm, 4:30pm and 7:30pm.

The College Board has released scores that show that NH
ranks well above the national average among states in which 60 percent or more
seniors took the SAT exams and EHS students are well above the NH averages.

Principal Gary Heald formally announced to the Coop.
School Board that effective June 30, 2005, he will be resigning as principal
after six years of service to Exeter High School. Search for a replacement
will begin early this fall.
The Seacoast School of Technology in Exeter will begin a
year-long observance of its 25th Anniversary when school opens on Monday,
