Dinner Table Dialogues

One contributor to the healthy development of children and adults alike is having a positive vision of oneself in the future. Families can structure such discussions in serious or light-hearted conversations at the dinner table. The more concrete the dreams, the more likely they are to come true. If others besides yourself know of your hopes and aspirations (and even your fears), assistance materializes in everyday interaction. A central role and responsibility of family is to know and encourage the highest and best accomplishments of each of its members. In fact, we can help one another be and become more than we ever thought possible!

Here are a few discussion starters. Think future! Think happiness! Think optimal functioning! Visualize the possibilities! Then think about how you can help one another achieve your goals!
