The SAU school districts are committed to working together to achieve common standards and values that will result in graduates who are caring, productive, and contributing members of society.
You can get an absentee ballot if you are away at school or out of
town on voting day or cannot get to the polls. You must get the
ballot enough ahead of time to return the completed ballot to the town
clerk by 5 pm on March 10, 2003.
To get an absentee ballot, you can visit your town clerk at the town
office and ask for a ballot or mail a request form to the town for an
absentee ballot. There will probably be several
ballots in most towns - a town ballot, a local school district ballot
(for the elementary school), and the ERCSD COOP ballot (for the middle
and high schools). The ERCSD ballot has the new high school
warrant.
The Absentee Ballot Application has to have an original signature
on it. (It is requested that you mail the application versus
faxing or e-mailing because it
needs an original signature).
Please do this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The ballots need to be
at the Town Clerk's office by March 10th (unless they are
being hand delivered and then they may come in the day of the election
- March 11th).
