Seacoast School of Technology Students Win State Awards

FCCLA, FFA & SkillsUSA Members Attend Annual State Conferences and Competitions

Early April was a busy time at the Seacoast School of Technology in Exeter as many students and teachers attended their state Career & Technical Student Organization conferences and competitions. Early Childhood Education students attended the Family, Career, and Community Leaders conference in Bartlett, NH, while The National FFA Organization event was in North Conway and hosted SST Animal & Plant Science, Welding & Power Mechanics, and Technology Careers students. The annual NH SkillsUSA VICA competition was held at various sites around the state and included SST students from Automotive Service Technology, Auto Collision Technology, Building Construction Technology, Computer Networking, Culinary Arts, and Welding.

22 SST students attended the FCCLA Spring Conference and won numerous awards and recognitions. Two of our SST students were elected as vice-presidents to serve at State FCCLA Officers for ’03-’04.

SST students in Automotive Technology, Auto Collision, Building Construction, Computer Networking, Culinary Arts, and Welding Technology held their SkillsUSA VICA competitions at a number of colleges and businesses throughout the state.

A highlight of the NH FFA Convention in North Conway was the election of two SST graduates to statewide leadership positions. The NH FFA team results featured a number of SST students. FFA Advisors at SST are Anne DeMarco, John Linville, and Andy Andersen.
